Re-Fashioning Balenciaga: Armani Privé Spring 2015 Couture

Living in a post-modern fashion era, hardly anything we see in fashion collections is truly new. In fashion, almost everything is re-made. That is the case with the dress, featured at left, by designer Giorgio Armani. Created for his Spring 2015 Armani Privé couture collection, the designer makes reference–intentionally or not– to a dress by the couture great Balenciaga, whose similar dress was seen in the October 28, 1966 issue of LIFE magazine.
